AlphaTON Capital and the Midnight Foundation

On January 20, 2026, I spotted "AlphaTON Capital Signs Definitive Agreement to Launch First Fully Privacy-Preserving AI Agents to Telegram’s Billion Users." The information appeared on Globe Newswire by Notified. Click here for the source document

The statement said: "AlphaTON Capital...announced a landmark agreement with the Midnight Foundation, an organisation dedicated to the development, adoption and real-world impact of the Midnight network a privacy-enhancing blockchain."

The idea is that the relationship allows "the first-to-market integration of a zero-knowledge blockchain with the TON ecosystem."

What's the purpose of this tie up among Telegram's distributed AI mining, AlphaTON Capital, and the Midnight Foundation? According to the Globe Newswire article:

"This hybrid architecture will enable Telegram users to interact with sophisticated AI agents for tasks such as finance, shopping, and support, while keeping their messages, credentials, and financial data fully confidential. Neither Telegram, Cocoon AI, AlphaTON, nor Midnight will receive or access users’ data. The user will own their data across the entire stack and can keep all personal data private whilst using advanced AI applications."

To set a baseline, let me highlight these two organizations:

  1. AlphaTON Capital is a NASDAQ-listed company that scales the Telegram super app and manages a strategic reserve of digital assets tied to the TON (Telegram Open Network) ecosystem. It is supposed to combine token acquisition, validator operations, and ecosystem investments so public investors can get exposure to TON and Telegram‑adjacent infrastructure under public‑company governance and disclosure standards.

  2. Midnight Foundation backs the Midnight network. It is a privacy‑focused blockchain by Shielded Technologies. It supports confidential smart contracts for ‘censorship‑resistant yet compliant’ decentralized applications or dApps using zero‑knowledge proofs and a dual‑token model.

The Globe Newswire document contains a number of future intentions. The news release is filled with "wills" and presents intended capabilities. The Midnight–AlphaTON integration is not yet live. It is a "to be" service. What does exist is an agreement.

The agreement appears that under the December 30, 2025, Federated Node Agreement, the Midnight Foundation hired AlphaTON to operate one of ten founding Midnight nodes. Plus, AlphaTON would code and deploy software to integrate Midnight’s "privacy layer" with Telegram's platform and its TON blockchain. Midnight Foundation pays AlphaTON Capital money for proof‑of‑concept development. The node service is to be operational sometime in the first quarter of 2026.

At the end of December 2025, AlphaTON Capital disengaged from DWF MaaS. It is possible that the deal with Midnight Foundation is a tactic to help enhance the credibility of the AlphaTON Capital business.

Net net: If AlphaTON successfully integrates Midnight’s privacy methods with Telegram, regulators and cyber‑fraud investigators are likely to face additional friction when tracing certain transaction flows.
