A colleague sent me a link to an AI-assisted article about AlphaTON Capital. The story contains a memorable line: "Bringing in legends is what we do." AlphaTON Capital has invested in AI-capable chips and entered a deal for data center services. The idea, as I understood it, was that AlphaTON Capital would make its AI compute available to the Telegram Cocoon system. Telegram would either use those AI resources for its own applications and market the compute services to its users, developers, and partners. In effect, AlphaTON Capital was a "man in the middle."
Now the firm seems to be gearing up to do some code to handle the interface with Telegram and possibly non-Telegram clients.
AlphaTON Capital is evolving quickly. Speed is part of the firm's DNA. Over the last six months, the "value" of a TONcoin has slipped about 60 percent. The value of a share of AlphaTON Capital (NASDAQ:ATON) is down about 90 percent. An interesting fact is that the ticker symbol ATON is the name of a high-profile Russian bank. The name "ATON" implies to some financial professionals an elite organization with some capital-market credibility.
